This workshop will take you to two very different locations which are world's apart, but are actually only 150 miles from each other. We have organized this trip to take advantage of the best and most interesting locations that Las Vegas and Death Valley have to offer.

Las Vegas, and the Strip in particular, provides the photographer with a continuous array of photographic opportunities, both day and night. During the day, there is the architecture, which ranges from futuristically modern to completely "tacky". Hotels, which are unbelievably huge, try to capture famous areas of the world, either from today as in the cities of New York and Paris or from centuries ago as in Ancient Rome or Medieval England. All of this completely transforms as night falls and the neon lights take over.

Death Valley has one of the most driest and hottest climates in the world. as a result it is a vast and wild area of natural beauty that has never been changed. It is a photographer's dream come true with it's stunning desert scenery; mountains, canyons, valleys and sand dunes. We will capture all of this in the ever changing and colourful light of the desert.

If you are interested in participating in this Photo Tour, and to guarantee a spot, the deposit will be required. This deposit can be made by cheque or money order payable to Garry Black and forwarded to the noted mailing address. Full payment is due 90 days prior to departure date.

Costs Include: Workshop tuition, return ground transportation between Las Vegas and Death Valley, as well as transportation within the park,  and hotel lodging for 4 nights at The Ranch at Furnace Creek.

Not Included: Las Vegas Hotel (due to the wide diversity of hotels in Las Vegas, we have chosen to have participants book their own hotels), meals, insurance, and items of personal nature.

Las Vegas, meet in late afternoon for orientation and twilight shoot, followed by dinner.

Two full days photographing Las Vegas, where there is an amazing diversity of subject material to shoot. We will visit and photograph all locations as a group.

Leave Las Vegas for the 2-1/2 hr drive to Death Valley National Park. We will have three full days here to enjoy all that the desert has to offer.

Our days will begin well before sunrise and end after sunset. Midday breaks will be included for "down time" and/or image review. Some of the locations we will visit are: Badwater Basin, Devil's Golf Course, Dunes at Stove Pipe Wells, Zabriskie Point, Dante's View, Artist's Drive and Artist's Palette. In order to take advantage of the constantly changing weather and light, the exact itinerary and places we visit will change every day,

After an early morning shoot return to Las Vegas, arriving early in the afternoon.
