TECHNICAL NOTES

POWER

This technical note is about the electrical power that you’ll bring from home and the electrical current in Greece which is 220 Volt - 50 Hz.  If you have a digital camera you are definitely going to need lots of power in the way of batteries. Quite a few people on past trips have brought rechargeable batteries with them. If you are planning on doing the same, then make sure that your charger is a “Universal Charger” which is able to charge on different electrical currents around the world. It, along with another electrical device that you’re going to be bringing should have the label - INPUT:  AC 100V-240V ~ 1.0A 50/60 HZ. Then it can safely be used in Greece. However you will require a plug adapter, which will adapt our North American 2 and 3 pronged plugs into the pin plugs that are used in Greece and Europe. You can get these plugs at Radio Shack and Luggage Stores.
